My Personal History with Aromatherapy
When I first started my first business in 1989 one of the first projects I did was an aromatherapy chart. The is was a chart that you can dial in your condition by using wheels and see the suggested remedy. This is basically how it worked.
It was actually allot of fun to do this project and was when I learned about it. Ever since then I have been practicing natural body healing techniques regularly.
HOW TO USE THE WHEEL
The wheel is easy to use and designed to help you select from over 85 physical and psychological conditions. To use the wheel simply turn the dial to select the physical or psychological condition that you have. A list of the essential oils and how they are to be used is shown. Physical conditions are indicated in black print on the outer wheel. Psychological conditions are noted in white print on the wheel face. In the interest of safety, see guidance notes indicated by an
MIXING ESSENTIAL OILS FOR EVERY USE
B=Bath- after running your bath, add 6-8 drops of essential oil and mix well. A carrier oil may be added to make the mixture go further.
Note: no more than 8 drops, in total, if using more than 1 essential oil.
M= massage; a mixture of 5 ml carrier oil combined with one drop of essential oil.
Note: Do not apply essential oils neat, but diluted in carrier oil.
K= Kleenex; rut 3 drops on Kleenex and inhale gently; repeat if reacquired.
V= vaporizer; put 4-~ drops of single or mixed essential oils into the vaporizer.
HC= hot compress; put 4 to S drops of essential oil in a bowl of hot water. The compress should be put into the water to absorb the floating oil on top. Squeeze out excess water and apply the compress to affected area. If possible, apply for at least 1 hour.
CC= cold compress; follow instructions for HC using cold water.
Sl= steam inhalation; add approximately 3 drops of essential oil(s) to a bowl of steaming hot (not boiling) water and inhale slowly. A towel over the. head will increase the effectiveness.
SB= Sitz bath; 2-4 drops of essential oils to bathtub that is 3-4” full

Safety: Do not apply essential oils undiluted to skin, other than where indicated and keep them away from eyes and children. If you are pregnant, or considering using oils on children consult appropriate medical professionals regarding all medical problems.
EXPLANATION OF CARRIER OILS
Almond Oil: Lubricates the skin well; an all round body and facial oil. Avocado Oil: deep penetrating oil which is very good for dry and mature skin. Best
blended with other oils.
Evening Primrose: Highly recommended for dry and mature skin.
Grape seed Oil: This light, easily absorbed oil, tightens and tones the skin.
Jojoba Oil: One of the best facial oils, good for any skin type.
Lotion base: Is an ideal carrier for skin related problems.
Olive Oil: Especially for dry skin; absorbs in well.
Sesame Seed Oil: Good base for massage oils.
Wheat Germ Oil: high in vitamin A B and E good for dry and cracked skin 10% dilution to a higher carrier oil

I have a very stressful job in dentistry and use aromatherapy regularly to help with stress. It is important that you learn to deal effectively with stress on the job in order to help reduce your stress.
