many people today lend credence to the myths about american pit bull terriers, yet if you put them in a group along with similar breeds such as dogo argentino, american bulldog, etc. most wouldn't be able to pick the correct dog from the group. as a responsible owner of a pit bull, i am constantly barraged with ignorance and outright stupidity concerning this breed. i have had a pit bull for most of my life, starting as a child at home and i have never had one to even act like they were overly aggressive. i am vigilant with training and take the responsibility of owning an aggressive breed seriously. these are wonderful, loving and smart animals.if given the chance we could show that the dog never made a concious choice to attack anyone but was trained to react in that manner by an owner. i hope one day people will do a little research before forming and voicing an opinion that could affect an entire breed.
